Verne Gagne Passes Away

The IWA would like to extend its' deepest condolences to the Gagne Family. Verne Gagne passed away yesterday at the age of 89. Mr. Gagne had an amazing wrestling career that spanned 4+ decades. He also ran the AWA from the 1950's till its' eventual closing in 1991. One of his most lasting legacies is the sheer number of top stars that he trained for the sport from The Iron Sheik to Ricky Steamboat, Ric Flair, Curt Hennig, Ken Patera and so many more. The wrestling world has lost a true legend. Rest in peace Mr. Gagne.
